Privacy Policy

Privacy notice

Last updated: 15 September 2026. This notice explains how personal information is used when you visit avxcontractors.com, contact AVX Contractors or request an assessment.

Who is responsible

AVX Contractors Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Contact: info@avxcontractors.com; +44 7440 225241; 11 Cundy Road, Custom House, London E16 3DJ.

Information you provide

We collect your name, email address and/or telephone number, property postcode, the service you need and your description of the work. You may also provide an address, preferred reply method, approximate budget, intended timing, plans, photographs and videos. Later correspondence, assessment notes and quotations may form part of your project record. Please only share material relevant to the work. Avoid identity documents, payment-card details and unnecessary images of people or personal possessions.

Website and security information

Our hosting services may process your IP address, browser information, requested pages and access times in technical logs. The enquiry form uses a short-lived identifier derived from your IP address to limit repeated submissions, together with request identifiers to prevent duplicate enquiries. These measures help protect the website and keep records accurate.

Why we use your information

We use enquiry information to understand your request, contact you, assess the proposed work, arrange the next step and prepare a quotation. Where you request a quotation or services, the basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing that contract. We rely on legitimate interests for proportionate website security, managing correspondence and keeping appropriate records of enquiries or disputes. We also process information where necessary to meet legal obligations. We do not use the assessment form to subscribe you to marketing.

Photos, videos and plans

Attachments submitted through the assessment form are stored separately from the public website files and are available through the authorised administrator area. They are not published in a gallery. We use them to understand the work you are requesting. We would ask separately before using identifiable project photographs in advertising or publishing them on social media. Files may include embedded information, such as the date or location of a photograph; remove details you do not wish to share before uploading.

Who may receive information

Information is accessible to people authorised to manage AVX enquiries and projects. Hostinger provides our website hosting and email services. Necessary project details may be shared with an appropriate tradesperson or supplier when arranging an assessment, quotation or agreed work. We limit what is shared to what is needed for that purpose. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where required for legal, accounting or dispute matters. We do not sell enquiry information.

Service providers and international processing

Hostinger provides our website hosting and email services and may process information through infrastructure or support teams outside the United Kingdom. Its Data Processing Addendum describes the contractual safeguards for these services, including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long information is kept

We determine retention by the purpose and status of the enquiry. Contact details, correspondence and project media are needed while we assess your request, discuss a quotation or carry out agreed work. If an enquiry closes without proceeding, we assess whether any information is still needed for an outstanding question, complaint or dispute; information no longer needed should be deleted. For completed work, necessary quotation, contract, invoice and project records may be kept longer to meet accounting and legal obligations or deal with a claim. Photographs and videos should only be retained for as long as they support those purposes. You can contact us to ask about the retention or deletion of your particular enquiry and its attachments.

Your choices and rights

You can contact info@avxcontractors.com to request access to your personal information or ask for inaccurate information to be corrected. Depending on the circumstances, you may also request deletion, restriction or portability. You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or a claim. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity before responding. You can raise a concern with us and you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and future integrations

WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in and related security functions. Google Analytics, advertising pixels, CRM integrations and AI analysis are not part of the current assessment workflow. Before introducing additional tracking or new uses of enquiry data, we will update this notice and provide any required choices. Merely sending an enquiry does not authorise advertising messages or create a booking.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change. For questions about your information, email info@avxcontractors.com or write to the AVX contact address above.
